Joyce Anderson
Director of Train-Up a Child Program
Joyce Anderson brings over two decades of expertise as an accomplished educator through the Ghana Education Service. Her dedication to nurturing children and fostering their development has been evident in her significant contributions to restructuring children’s ministries across various churches, including the Voice of the Lord Church in Ghana and the Church of Pentecost in Norfolk, Virginia.
From 2014 to 2021, Joyce served as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Virginia Beach, where she successfully revitalized the children’s ministry. As a First Lady, she demonstrated exemplary leadership by mobilizing the Women’s Ministry to organize marriage enrichment programs and collaborating with the Men’s Ministry to coordinate church-wide social functions and activities.
Currently, Joyce is a Lead Teacher at the Navy Child and Youth Development Program (CYP), where her passion for children shines. Her critical thinking skills enable her to assess classroom strengths and weaknesses effectively, fostering a nurturing and productive learning environment. Recognized for her dedication, she received the Best Worker Award at Dam Neck Naval Base CDC in 2019 and the Most Optimistic Worker Award at Annapolis Child Development Center in 2023.
Joyce holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Education from Liberty University, reflecting her deep commitment to the field of education. She brings a wealth of experience, exceptional communication skills, and a heart for children to the “Train-Up a Child Program,” ensuring its success in equipping the next generation with holistic spiritual and educational growth.
Joyce is married to Pastor Joseph Anderson, and together, they are blessed with three children: Joseph Jr., Jethro, and Josiah.
